Separation from the enemy: a tactic used by the military. Imagine a robustly ripped young lad with car tires for muscles, carrying 3 frag grenades and a Rocket Launcher. He loads his death-shaped ammo in as fast as Wile E Coyote comes up with a new idea to trap the road runner. He begins to wreck havoc amongst your team and buildings fall at his command. However, he hears gun fire near his direction and dives for cover. Thinking he is safe, this time bomb with legs takes a nice breather only to be shot through his metal covering and is covered in charred skin, lying on the floor. Lifeless. How would something like this ever happen? Only by using a sniper rifle so powerful, so majestic, that angels themselves receive boners (called poppin' a cherib). I'm taking about nothing other than the Phase Rifle!!
But what is so special about the phase rifle? Only that it is a portable X-ray!!
Thats right, this weapon is not only good for seeing you from afar, but seeing you anywhere! Once you aim through the scope, the rifle will detect heat signatures. Any destroyable objects (as seen in left image) are in a shiny glaze, making foes visible and shootable. The concept of this weapon has only been seen in one other game: Perfect Dark. And in that game, it worked fairly well, so we can only imagine its lasting impact in this game. Lets move onto the weapon design.
The Phase Rifle has a two-scope rear frame with dual shot sticks and a bolt-action shot loader. This basically means that the gun has 2 scopes, and every time a shot is fired, the user must proceed with cocking it again. The second scope if still a mysterious wonder, however we believe that it is a heartbeat sensor. Also, it has been seen with nothing but a three shot clip, so we assume that there is three in the final product. However, only will time will tell.
Prepare to see through walls with the new Phase Rifle coming this February!

Wow, Great Writing!
Red Faction on the PS2 had a sniper that could shoot through walls by using heat signatures, it's probably counted as a rail gun cause it fires a beam but so does the PR so I'm gunna call it a sniper.
Perfect Dark was the first and formost game to use a railgun/xray sniper that shot through walls, and this isn't the first time HVS has taken inspiration from PDark (snipe through walls, Deployable Turret, Cloaking Gun, secondary fire in general, even some elements of the plot). And I'm sure Red Faction did too.
Great weapon summary/bio/intro, BTW. :D
Heartbeat sensors don't exist in real life, so to have that in game would be only copying CoD. :0
to all haters..... SHUT IT. SERIOUSLY IM SICK OF HATERS! SURE OTHER GAMES HAVE DONE THE SAME THINGS... BUT HVS IS BRINGING ORIGINALS TOO. NOBODY F-IN SEES IT. but you do have a sexy voice :D
